The giant automobile company in India, the Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) has inaugurated a new Samriddhi centre in the state of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday and the company is planning to set up another 200 Samriddhi centres across the country over the next three years. The officials of the company have informed that the company has conceptualized the Mahindra Samriddhi centres for educating the farmers about different technological inputs that are likely to help them with the contemporary solutions for farming issues and also help them to drive rural prosperity.
The sources from the industry have informed that currently, the Mahindra Samriddhi centers are opened in the states of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. While speaking on the inaugurating occasion of the new Mahindra Samriddhi center in Chhattisgarh, the Chief Operating Officer (Farm Equipment Sector) of M&M, Mr. Gautam Nagwekar said that the company has always been considered as a customer-centric organisation and it also sought for bringing technology innovation to its customers, all the time.
In the words of Mr. Nagwekar, "The launch of the Samriddhi centre in Raipur brings us a step closer to our long-term objective of providing affordable value added service to farmers under one roof". He also said that the new center is going to provide the soil and water-testing facilities to the farmers, apart from technology interface through the Internet, demo farms, agri-counseling facilities, one-stop finance, insurance, sale of used tractors and tractor sales and services.
