The pharmaceuticals company from Hyderabad, named the Aurobindo Pharma has recently stated that it has acquired a generic Italian company named the TAD Italy. The company officials have informed that they have acquired the company along with a number of 70 ready to market products and this acquisition is going to help Aurobindo to enter into the Italian generic market, in a big way. The officials denied to say anything about the amount of investment involved in this acquisition process.
While talking about the company acquiring TAD Italy, the Regional VP, Europe of Aurobindo, Mr. Ashish Menocha said, "This deal will provide us with a ready local platform and will help us is immediately maximizing the potential of our vast internal pipeline which is to follow in the next few months. Aurobindo has already flied 22 products for registration in Italy". He added that the company is expecting to derive maximum synergies from the acquisition, during the integration process. He said that the company would derive the synergies by shifting the manufacturing of TADs products to its own facilities in Hyderabad.
