The officials of the Welspun-Gujarat Stahl Rohren company have informed that the company has recently received a huge order worth Rs 1,075 crore for supplying spiral pipes in Northern Africa. The company has released an official statement on Monday for informing the Bombay Stock Exchange about getting this contract and said that it won the contract against competition from some other players in Europe. The company also said that with this new order, the order book position of the company has went up to above Rs 5,900 crore.
The Vice Chairman & Managing Director of the Welspun Group, Mr. B K Goenka was talking about the order and said, "Welspuns strong demonstration of engineering excellence and accreditations from top oil and gas companies across the world results in new orders and reinstates our position as one of the largest and premium line pipe company in the world".
