The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has recently awarded a huge order with a total valuation of Rs 329.48 to the Subhash Projects and Marketing Ltd (SPML). The officials of the SPML have informed that the company has received the order for NTPCs Bongaigaon Thermal Power Project, Assam (3 x 250 MW). They added that the project is having the largest estimated value that the NTPC has given any company operating in the infrastructure sector, so far.
The SPML has already released an official statement regarding the matter and stated that the projects estimated value is also the largest order that the company has received so far, as the cumulative project value is Rs 710 crore. The statement informed that the value is inclusive of the value of cement and structural steel that would be issued by the corporation. The statement added that the project is involving the execution of main plant, civil works and offsite civil works package, including the dismantling of the existing structure at the abandoned power plant of Assam State Electricity Board. The statement further said that clearing and developing the area and thereafter constructing pile foundation is also involved in the project.
