In a recent official statement released by the company, the Reliance Energy Ltd has recently stated that it has bought-back a number of 4 lakh equity shares of the company. The company has already informed the Bombay Stock Exchange regarding the buy back.
According to the official statement from the company, the commencement of the buy-back was on 25th March, 2008 and the company has so far bought back about 17.80 lakh equity shares aggregating Rs 220.97 crore. The statement added that the board of directors of the company has already approved the buy-back of equity shares up to an aggregate amount of Rs 800 crore.
