One of the leading IT consultancy service provider company in India, the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced that it has recently signed a new multi-year contract with the Chrysler LLC. The officials of TCS have stated that the deal has been signed for providing a comprehensive portfolio of IT services to Chrysler and the scope of this contract is actually integrating the contract that TCS did announce in the month of February with Chrysler.
According to one of the top officials of the company, TCS is going to deliver the IT application and maintenance support services to the Chrysler by leveraging its Global Network Delivery Model™ from different locations around the world. The company would also deliver the services from the recently announced TCS Seven Mills Park domestic delivery center outside Cincinnati, Ohio and through a locally recruited team in the Detroit, Michigan region. The official added that a portion of several functional areas within Chrysler like sales and marketing, shared services, product development and after sales, will also be included in the project.
The industry sources have informed that the Global Network Delivery Model of TCS is a collaborative, best-in-class framework of people, processes and infrastructure in the world. The sources added that the model is tapping on TCS global intellectual assets of tools, methodologies and products for helping the customers to reduce their implementation time, to realize benefits quicker and also to achieve their business goals.
