The board of directors of the major manufacturing company, named the SEL Manufacturing Company Ltd has recently approved the companys expansion plan. The company has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange through an official statement and said that the expansion project has been planned for setting up the largest technical textile manufacturing facility. The company also said that the company is going to make an overall investment of Rs 611.67 crore in the facility and it will be located at Nawanshehar.
While talking about the companys expansion plans and also about the upcoming project, one of the top officials of SEL Manufacturing Company Ltd has stated that the project is being implemented under the textile upgradation fund scheme (TUFS). The official said that the project is going to consist of setting up of facilities for manufacturing technical textiles that would have a capacity of 90 tpd. The official added that expanding the capacity of captive power plant by setting up of another unit of 10 MW capacity, is also included under the planned project. This unit would take the total capacity of the power plant to 20 MW.
