The leading producer of racing-inspired motorcycles in the world, Ducati Motor Holding, has entered into the Indian market on Wednesday and said that it has already signed an partnership agreement with the Precision Motor India Private Ltd. The company officials have stated that the two companies are planning to develop a detailed launch strategy for this new market, over the next few months. The officials added that the Precision Motor India is going to be the exclusive importer of Ducati motorcycles in India, as per the agreement.
According to one of the highly-placed sources related to the development, the Precision Motor India is selling the top brands like Porsche, Audi, NetJets, Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana in India, at the moment. The CEO of Ducati, Mr. Gabriele Del Torchio, was speaking on the occasion and said, "We strongly believe that the fast growing Indian market is of a strategic importance to Ducati and we will do our best to consolidate our presence and to capitalize on the huge opportunities this country has to offer".
While expressing his views over the newly signed partnership with Ducati, the Chairman and CEO of Precision Motor, Mr. Ashish Chordia said, "The passion that I have for this glorious marquee is both a source of pride and a stimulation to promote and develop Ducatis entry into the Indian market. I am honoured by this partnership and I am sure that Ducati will also have a great future in this country".
