A faculty chair position is been donated by the Avery Dennison Foundation in association with the SIES School of Packaging, Mumbai, that will enable students in India to enroll for the first time in specialized courses that include comprehensive industry-led advancements in innovation and self -adhesive technology.
The Avery Dennison Foundation will contribute approximately $1, 25,000 over a five-year period towards this initiative. The packaging course such as the graduate technology course in packaging & packaging Management Programme and the Post graduate Diploma in Packaging Science & technology will now include a detailed curriculum in self- adhesive technology.
"This initiative will inspire innovation and foster talent in the packaging industry, said Diane B Dixon , president , Avery Dennsion Foundation. "Over the last decade, the world of packaging has seen many innovations and has assumed a critical role in the product life cycle," said Raj Srinivas, Managing Director, Material India, Avery Dennsion (India) Pvt. Ltd.
