After the slacken economic growth of the present year amid the global credit crisis, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh envisions a growth in economy under pressure in the next fiscal year beginning April.
According to Manmohan Singh, "Our problems will not be over in the current year. The difficult period will continue into 2009-2010."
A top finance ministry official said that Indias economy is expected to grow by 7-7.5 percent in the current fiscal year after growing about 9 percent for the last three years.
