Trade market jerks due to rise of metal edge
Trade remained jerky as concerns about slowing earnings growth and rising foreign fund effluxes dominated sentiment. Metals and oil & gas stocks edged higher while realty and technology were trading higher.

Bombay Stock Exchange reveled that the Sensex was at 9,324.12, up 0.53 points or 0.01 per cent at 1.50 pm. The index touched a high of 9381.78 and low of 9273.47.

National Stock Exchanges Nifty was at 2851.40, up 22.95 points or 0.81 per cent. The index reached a high of 2851.95 and low of 2819.90 in trade so far. BSE Midcap Index was up 0.4 per cent and BSE Smallcap Index gained 0.99 per cent.

Sterlite Industries (5.11%), Jaiprakash Associates (3.48%), Reliance Communications (3.15%), Hindalco Industries (2.1%) and ONGC (2.91%) were the biggest Sensex gainers.

Mahindra & Mahindra (-3.96%), Wipro (-2.25%), Maruti Suzuki (-2.03%), DLF (-1.87%) and Tata Power (-1.86%) were the losers. Market breadth was positive on the BSE with 1263 advances and 933 declines.
