India to increase tax on palm oil, ease rice, wheat trade |

Farm Minister Sharad Pawar has asserted that India may tax crude palm oil imports, allow wheat exports and ease curbs on basmati rice exports.
He said that these moves are on the agenda of a panel of ministers, which will meet later on Tuesday. Pawar also added that the countrys sugar output in 2008-2009 was likely to be 18 million tonnes.
