National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) and its subsidiary NCDEX Institute of Commodity Markets and Research (NICR) is going to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Career Launcher (CL) on 24th January 2009.
The MoU is aimed to establish collaboration in the area of training and education in the commodity sector. The tri-partite MOU will be signed by Arindam Lahiri, Co-founder and Director, CL, R. Ramaseshan, Managing Director and CEO, NCDEX and a Director on the Board of NICR and Anjan Mandal, Zonal Head (North and East), NCDEX.
Under this MOU, CL has been given the status of an Accredited Institute and will be conducting classes for the NCDEX Commodity Certification Course, an e-learning programme on commodity derivatives which was launched late last year.
In the beginning, these classes will be conducted at various centres in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida and Rajasthan. NCDEX along with NICR will provide the technical support for carrying out such classes which will include faculty training, course material, guest faculty and testing facilities.
Speaking about this collaboration, R. Ramaseshan, said, "We are happy to be working with CL, which is one of the most reputed educational institutes in this county. Given CLs expertise and reach in the respective states we are confident of educating a large number of people who would be better equipped to enter this industry."
Arindam Lahiri, Co-founder and Director, CL said "We are confident that CL is now poised to impact the mass requirement with support from this wonderful course of NICR. It adds to our basket of skills programs in IT, BFSI, FMCG and so on."
