Maharashtra Chief Minister, Ashok Chavan will lay the foundation stone for Reliance Powers 300-MW Butibori thermal power project this week-end.
According to a company release, Union Minister of Power, Sushil Kumar Shinde, will preside over the ceremony.
Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy, Vilas Muttemwar and Minister of Energy, Maharashtra, Sunil Tatkare would be the guests of honour.
The project is scheduled for commissioning in the second quarter of 2011 and will feed around 2,000 MUs to the state, report stated.
