Sugar prices increase for second consecutive day
According to the Bombay Sugar Merchants Association, sugar price has increased for the second consecutive day today on better buying support by stockists.

Small grade sugar rose by Rs 5 per quintal on improved demand and medium grade sugar remained steady on moderate demand by stockists.

Moreover, the traders added that small and medium grade sugar has soared likewise in ex-mill category by Rs 10 and Rs 5 per quintal respectively owing to sustained demand by local dealers.

Following were the spot wholesale rates of sugar per quintal: Small grade: Rs 2,166/ Rs 2,220, medium grade: Rs 2,208/Rs 2,285 Ex-mill small grade: Rs 2,150/Rs 2,175 and medium grade: Rs 2,180/2,220.
