FCI to acquire 1MT wheat from Rajasthan
The Food Corporation of India (FCI) has reportedly decided to buy over 1MT of wheat from 295 different centres in Rajasthan.

RC Meena, general manager, FCI (Rajasthan) said that the purchase of wheat would start from March 18 in the first phase and from April 1 in the second phase at the MSP (minimum support price) Rs 1,080 per quintal from farmers directly.

According to reports FCI has to match the required quota by buying wheat from other states like Punjab and Haryana. As per the state agriculture department, the wheat production would touch a target of 6.38MT in the current Rabi crop season.
