Geojit Financial Services has launched internet trading in Currency Derivatives.

C. J. George added, "Since the launch of Currency Derivatives on NSE in August 2008, Geojit has gained leadership in this segment. We are riding on our proven expertise in internet trading to offer our clients this new facility. Since April 2008, over 5mn online trades have been executed. We expect to see growth in these numbers with the introduction of this new facility. Our commissions are as low as Rs 10 for a contract of value US$1000 (around Rs.50000)."

Geojit was the first broker in the country to introduce Internet Trading in 2000 and to establish the 1st bank gateway in the country for Internet Trading. Geojit was also the 1st broker to introduce an integrated internet trading system for the Cash & Derivatives segments.
