Mitsubishi Motors is supposedly planning to increase prices of its models in India by 4 to 5% from April. As imported kits are getting more expensive due to the escalating value of Japanese yen hence this increase in price.
The companys high-end sports-utility vehicles (SUVs) Outlander and Pajero which are priced at Rs 21-22 lakh will become costlier by around Rs 1 lakh, as per report.
The Mitsubishi Montero SUV, which is directly imported and comes at a price tag of Rs 42 lakh, could see a steeper hike because of higher duty levies.
The Cedia sedan, with a price tag of Rs10.29 lakh and Lancer sedan, with a price tag of Rs 8.20 lakh will become costlier by Rs50, 000 and Rs 40, 000, respectively.
