Strides Arcolab Limited has received ANDA approval for Azithromycin for Injection 500 mg / vial with para IV certification. Launch of Azithromycin is anticipated in April 2009.
Ravi Seth, Chief Executive Officer, International Operations of Strides stated, "This is the first approval for the Strides Sagent Joint Venture and a very important milestone for the partnership which has more than 25 products under development."
Under the joint venture agreement, Sagent and Strides Arcolab are developing, supplying and marketing more than 25 injectable products for the U.S. market.
