Adani Wilmar Ltd. is planning to refurbish its existing brands and launch a new range of products.
AWL ventured into branded packaged edible oil business with the launch of the brand Fortune in 2000. Fortunes brand image reflects healthy, young, urban family. Over the last nine years Fortune as a brand has been able to develop a special bond with the consumers.
The company will spend Rs 6.5bn to lift processing capacity to 2.5mn tons. According to Adani Wilmer, demand for edible oils has not been affected by the economic slowdown. Cheaper edible oils are preferred in the rural areas, which seem to be growing more than the urban areas, it added.
