Fashion designer Ayan & Preetika Sarkar has launched their Spring/Summer09 collection Couturewala, which is a wonderful line of western wear influenced by India and its outstanding workmanship.
The collection has taken inspiration from the most colourfull life of India and specific influences from the Spanish culture and heritage. Its a global product for the international market. Spanish styles meet Indian abstract motifs with bold colours, street chic, slim fits and asymmetric lines.
The collection includes short tunics , calf length dresses , floor length gowns with layers, flares and gathers of fluid natural fabric like chiffons, georgette and various quality of silk and cottons, paired with stunning metallic leggings, transparent stockings and innovative pipe pants and churidars with emphasize on minute detailing. Silhouettes are mixed with anti-fit to body hugged with very innovative asymmetrical lines and placements embellishment and highlights. The colours are happy and soft with sudden blast of bold solid colours.
