Carrier Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Limited (Carrier India) has introduced its new energy efficient air conditioning product line for the Indian market.
The latest product line obey the rules of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) for providing effective cooling at reduced power consumption levels (Star ratings). Carrier Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Limited is a subsidiary of Carrier Corp., which is a unit of United Technologies Corp.
The new ACs include window and hi-wall split air-conditioners in the "Estrella" and "Durakool Plus" range along with a ducted air-conditioner. The new and innovative range of products feature state-of-the-art design innovations and efficient internal mechanisms that consume less power thereby providing savings on electricity bills. The window and hi-wall products have been rated between 2 and 5 stars, based on norms laid down by the BEE.

Estrella window room air-conditioner is available in 0.8 ton & 1.1 ton. It comes with unique features like stylish revolutionary flat grille technology, which not only makes the AC look sleek but is also easy to clean. The 4-in-1 filter consisting of dust filter, electrostatic filter, carbon filter and zeolite filter guards the AC against harmful airborne mold. The plastic body is corrosion resistant.
Estrella hi- wall is available in 1 ton, 1.5 ton and 2 ton capacities. It has advanced features like extremely high efficiency (above 5 star levels) and state of the art indoor air quality features such as nano silver ginseng filter & nano photo copper zinc filters. Nano silver ginseng filter consists of anti-bacteria and ginseng filters that remove odour, deactivate bacteria and mould, thereby revitalizing and energizing the environment. Nano photo copper zinc filter deodorizes and removes volatile organic compounds. Using nano-sized particles increases performance while copper allows strong performance without source of light. The products Eco mode helps it to automatically control room temperature, fan speed and operation. Advanced air flow provides wider air flow for more comfort in the entire room.
Durakool Plus hi- wall is available in 1 ton, 1.5 ton & 2 ton capacities, the Durakool Plus have features like tropical rotary compressor which is designed to perform even under extreme climatic conditions. Its advanced filtration with a dust filter, an active carbon filter and an electrostatic filter eliminates odours and traps big dust particles, smoke, fur etc. LED display on the unit displays temperature setting among other parameters. Durakool Plus has various other features including sleep mode, turbo mode, advance dry mode, auto restart, timer, economic running mode, four fan speed settings, and air direct control.
The new 5.5 ton ducted split is a value-for-money, light commercial product that is easy to operate and maintain. The highlight of this product is its low height that occupies less space and allows higher false ceiling design. It has advanced control features such as programmable timer, fault logger and holiday exception. This product is ideally suited for offices, showrooms, factories, restaurants, auditoriums and hospitals.

All the window and hi-wall products are priced between Rs.13, 790 and Rs.42, 990.
