Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the largest software services exporter in India has launched a new development centre TCS Awadh Park in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
The new facility is spread over 3 acres of land. TCS Awadh Park is the second largest IT establishment in UP after the TCS facility in Noida.
The centre has a capacity of 1,500 seats and it is the latest addition to the companys Global Network Delivery Model (GNDMTM).
Speaking about the new facility, CEO and MD of TCS, S Ramadorai said, "Lucknow is an integral part of the TCS strategy to invest in Tier II cities and spread the IT revolution in the country. Lucknow has the potential to be a leader among the emerging IT destinations in India and it is this belief that has driven our strategy to invest in this area."
The company is planning to develop and implement software solutions for countries like USA, Canada, UK, Singapore and South Africa from Lucknow. The company will also support e-governance initiatives in the states of UP and Uttarakhand as well as select projects for Government of India.
