Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) of India have reportedly imported 64,000 tons of pulses since April 1 this year. MMTC and PEC have contracted 35,000 tons and 29,000 tons, respectively.
The contracted pulses include yellow peas, tur, urad and red lentils. While yellow peas and red lentils are being imported from Canada, other pulses are being imported from Myanmar.
